Hypnosis for Motivation When You’re Not

If you’re having problems with motivation, I would like to use an example to help you understand what’s going on..

I’m going to use the example of smoking.

You’re trying to solve the problem with your conscious mind.

So you’ve tried cold turkey.

You’ve used patches.

You’ve tried nicotine gum.

You know all the benefits if you stop smoking.

You understand how bad smoking is for you.

You understand the benefits that you would get for your life, your health, and your relationships if you stopped.

Everything makes sense to your conscious mind.

You might even have a plan of of what you might do to stop smoking.

You may be have set a date to go cold turkey.

You might even have a patch on right now or be chewing nicotine gum…

These are all solution within the realm of your conscious mind.

Trying to solve persisting problems with your subconscious mind is like trying to pick dandelions off of your lawn but there’s something going on below the surface that you can’t see.

There’s this entire root system underneath the surface of that lawn. There’s networks of roots that are in underneath the entire lawn. The roots go wide and they go deep.

Picking dandelions at the surface doesn’t make a difference in the long run because dandelions keep poping up in other places because you haven’t got to the root of the problem.

It’s the same thing with smoking or wherever you’re not feeling motivated. It’s like there’s something else going on that is getting in the way of what you’re trying to do.

Your conscious mind is focused on intermittently on the desired outcome but what’s always going on underneath the surface is that root system of all those associations that you have with smoking. These are always running in the background, whether you are focused on it or not.

There’s probablya pay off that you get every time you smoke.

It might be conscious or you may not even be aware of it.

There might be associations that go deep and wide with what you’re actually getting from smoking.

You might really like smoking and you don’t really want to quit. Even though deep down, you know logically that you should quit. There’s a part of you that really likes smoking. You get something from it, in addition to smoking.

You are trying to solve the problem with your conscious mind. And there’s a lot of problems that can be solved with your conscious mind and then you go on with your life…

But when you’re stuck and you’ve tried everything and you still can’t solve that problem at the level of your conscious mind, this is when hypnosis can help.

Hypnosis can connect you with your subconscious mind so you can figure out what is going on with that root system.

It will become clear to you what is really going on below the surface. You will become aware of all that stuff that is outside your conscious awareness.

All the stuff that are outside your conscious awareness but you can feel it because you have an inner conflict going on.

The conflict is between what you know you should do with your conscious mind that makes sense for you, and your health, your family, your relationships, and your life.

You also have anther part that feels really good about smoking. But it might also feel really bad about smoking, you might be feeling some guilt or shame. So you might only smoke when you’re alone, when no one else is watching.

There may be a feeling of avoiding something but you’re not sure what exactly.

This is all part of that root system.

The way to resolve those conflicts is to get to the root of everything that is going on. You need to get to what’s below the level of consciousness and get to what’s happening in the subconscious. Because that’s where you’ll resolve things.

Once you connect with those resources in your subconscious mind, the outcomes that you really want will come with ease. No willpower required.

You can get your conscious mind and your subconscious mind in alignment with your conscious desires through hypnosis,

Your subconscious mind can find all the answers and the all resources. It has all the great outcomes and knows the quickest path to those outcomes.

By the end of the session, you will be a non-smoker.

When all the issues are resolved and the root system is gone, those dandelions will just die on their own. You won’t really have to do anything.

You’re not going to need willpower because willpower is no match for the subconscious mind.

Instead things will just happen effortlessly and easily.

It might happen so effortlessly that you don’t even realize that you haven’t smoked.

You may be in a situation where you used to smoke and you’re actually going to have choice.

You won’t just go into a subconscious routine of just lighting up mindlessly when you’re triggered by familiar event or location.

There may be some type of stimulus that has caused you to smoke in the past but what will happen in that moment where you usually light up, you will instead become keenly aware.

The space between stimulus and response will expand and you will be able to sit in that space with true choice.

You can choose to smoke, instead of mindlessly lighting up. And you also have the choice of not smoking.

In that moment you can actually make a choice to not smoke.

You won’t need willpower to do that because your whole subconscious and conscious mind are in alignment. Every cell and every neuron in your body belongs to a non-smoker.

It makes that choice not to smoke very simple.

If you’ve had a problem that you’ve been dealing with that’s been persisting…

If you feel that inner conflict, that feeling is a clue that you need to solve the problem at the subconscious level. It means that there’s something else going on outside of your conscious awareness.

Getting to the root of the problem and resolving that conflict by connecting with your subconscious mind is the true key to motivation.
