The Difference Between Visualization and Transformational Learning

THere’s A difference between relaxation hypnosis and therapeutic hypnosis.

There’s a difference between visualization and what happens in Accelerated Hypnosis.

In visualizations or relaxation hypnosis that uses visualizations, the conscious mind creates that scenario whether it’s walking down a path, walking on a beach or going down stairs…

You’re told to visualize and then you try to generate those scenarios with your conscious mind (some people can’t visualize at all)…

But in Accelerated Hypnosis, my clients describe scenarios they’ve come up…

They describe soldiers fighting, creating wars and fires. The fires then traveledd through their body and they could feel a heat travelling throughout their veins.

My clients talk about seeing doors that are closed…

Then realize that they know how to open the door because they were the one that closed it in the first place.

After doing hypnosis and being an observer, I don’t think that these are visualizations!

I think my clients are describing something that’s actually happening.

They are experiencing something real in a deep, resourceful state.

They’re not visualizing.

They’re describing.

They’re describing something that’s actually taking place but they they don’t have words to describe what’s happening so my clients say it’s like soldiers are fighting…

They say it’s like there’s a door…

Because they have words to describe what’s actually happening in their subconscious mind.

I believe that they’re having an actual experience that is actually changing the structure of their brain – literally. I believe there is a physical change that is actually taking place in their brain.

This experienc is what creates experiential learning so they are left with the learning.

This is why hypnosis is so different than reading a book or a blog; listening to a podcast; watching a video..

The learning is kind of flat because it’s just more information.

it’s like watching a video or reading a book on how to ride a bike.

You still don’t know how to ride a bike after you watch that video or read that book.

More information won’t make a difference.

But contrast this to the learning that happens in a deep, resourceful state of hypnosis.

You may describe whatever’s happening down in your subconscious like the subconscious equivalent of riding a bike and at the end of hypnosis you’ve had a real experience.

That experience has literally changed your brain.

Neural pathways have changed.

This would explain why these clients that have lost their confidence and their voice have actually learned how to become confident in hypnosis.

In their session on hypnosis, they have learned confidence, they have got their voice back.

And at the end of their hypnosis session, they’re confident. They have a voice and they want to leave the session to try it out.

As they sleep that night, all the learning gets integrated in to every cell of their body, every neuron in their brain.

Then they just go out into the world and have confidence.

They just go use their voice in a way that wasn’t possible for them before they entered that deep, resourceful state and had that learning experience.

Now what is that area of life for you where you’ve been seeking information but what you’re actually looking for is transformational learning in a deep resourceful state?
