When you’re in pain, you’re looking for results…
If you have a problem with your tooth, you want to fix the pain asap.
You go to the dentist you want a result.
If the dentist sold you a package of sessions to fix the pain slowly, and do a little bit of work each time, and you weren’t sure if what he was doing was working or not…
You probably wouldn’t go back for another “session.”
Not unless you’re into some kinda kinky pain fetish involving teeth.
So why do we have a different model with emotional pain?
Why are we ok with going to 600 sessions of psychotherapy when we’re in intense emotional pain?

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had therapy.
Lots and lots of it.
A Whole New Paradigm
Here’s what my studies in Neuroscience taught me…
Emotional pain travels along the same pathways as physical pain, through the insula, the part of the brain that creates emotional significance from both negative and positive emotions.
Research that shows that acetaminophen, the active ingredient in Tylenol, dulls both emotional and social pain.

The growing body of research along with my experience of hypnosis resolving emotional pain quickly has given me a new paradigm of therapy.
It’s the mindset that I bring to my Accelerated Hypnotherapy sessions.
And mindset is everything.
I’ll never tell your time is up and send you away in pain before we’ve fixed the problem.
This why I focus on results not sessions.
