Have you ever been in a relationship (or situation) where you wished things were different?
You wished that your time spent together was different.
You wished the relationship was different.
You wished the person was different in almost every way.
But other than that, they would be perfect.
You spend a lot of time thinking about the future if things were different.
These things that you wish were different leave you with a bad feeling.
So you talk about it with friends, family, anyone who will listen.
You might even feel better after talking…
But then there’s that pesky feeling again.
Then you think that if they were just a little more or just a little less [insert your pet peeve here], then things would be so much better and you wouldn’t feel that way you’re feeling.
Then things would be okay and you wouldn’t have doubts.
But here’s the thing…
It is what it is.
What does wishing things were different really accomplish?
While you’re here feeling what you’re feeling, you might as well stop avoiding what your feelings might be telling you and get present to whatever it is you’re feeling.
There’s a certain amount of triggering that will happen in relationships, especially when you let someone get close enough to you to brush up against your wounds from the past…
But if your whole relationship is in major non-acceptance of what it actually is, wishing things were different, you may want to embrace what is.
Just for the moment.
Because you can’t change what you can’t accept.
So just for a moment just allow yourself to feel whatever it is you’re feeling when you think about what is.
You can use whatever you’re feeling to figure out if all these things that you wish were different are things that you can actually accept.
Because if you’re waiting for the other person to change, you might just be waiting a while…
A looooong while….
If there’s too many things that you wish were different, you can always fulfill your own wishes and find someone else that you’re more compatible with.
It’s hard to let go.
When you need some clarity, your subconscious mind can help you figure out what’s really going on. It’s where all your emotions are stored away when you’re not actively experiencing them anyways.
If something about the relationship is not giving you what you need, if you’re having a hard time getting emotional clarity on your own, or if you see a pattern that you just can’t seem to shake…
Start a new relationship with your subconscious mind.
Hypnosis can help you connect with your subconscious mind and sort through all of your feelings. It can help you get clarity so everything makes sense again.
You can find new resources whether you stay or move on.
