Terms of Service

Client Requirements
Client understands the service does not prevent, cure, or treat any mental disorder or medical disease.

Client agrees to the following terms of the service: The Client agrees to cancel or reschedule an appointment at least 24 hours in advance, without a change fee. Any changes or cancellations within 24 hours are subject to the full session fee.

If the Client is more than 15 minutes late to an appointment, the Service Provider will assume that the appointment is cancelled, and the Client will be responsible for the cost of the full session. Fees are payable upon booking the session and are non-refundable.

Clients will be charge $150 for subsequent consultation sessions if they have not shown up for a previously scheduled consultation.

Communications
Client agrees the communication is to be via email only. If the Client wishes to speak on the phone, the Client should send an
email stating that the Client would like to schedule a phone call and the Service Provider will work with the Client to arrange a time.

Online meetings and telephone contact may be considered a “session” and be billed if in general it is for purposes other than scheduling appointments or seeking information. Service Provider typically responds to email within 24 – 72 hours excluding weekends and standard public holidays.

Confidentiality
In general, the information obtained is confidential, with the following exceptions: Threat to self (suicide risk); Threat to other (homicide risk and duty to warn); Suspicion of child abuse; Intent to drive a motor vehicle while intoxicated by alcohol or drugs; or Intent to have unprotected sexual contact or share IV drug needles, when infected by HIV and/or diagnosed with AIDS.

Also be aware that email/texting communications in general (scheduling appointments, other communications) should not be considered secure.

Risks
The Client may experience transient symptoms from any session or consultation such as headaches, visual distortions, and stomach or chest tension, which generally fade within 30-60 minutes. In addition, it is possible that recall of upsetting incidents will trigger numbing
symptoms, such as feeling drowsy, light-headed, or tingling in hands, face, or feet. Again, such symptoms normally subside within 30-60 minutes.

It is reasonable to alleviate the intensity of symptoms, but the Client should not expect all symptoms to be gone if the Client has had many previous traumatic experiences, or if the Client has an extensive mental health history (e.g., hospitalization, suicidality, or bipolar disorder). For this reason, it is very important for the Client to inform the Service Provider of mental health history and it is the responsibility of the client to contact information for other health and mental health professionals from whom the Client has received care recently.

Since OEI involves movement of the eyes, if the Client suffers from any eye-related condition that could be aggravated by eye movement (including brain surgery in the area of the eyes) it will be important to inform the Service Provider and consult with their ophthalmologist for
his/her approval before proceeding with these techniques. As with any therapy involving assessment or treatment of anxiety or stress, the Client may experience psychological distress at some point as the Client recalls events, people, and situations that upset the Client.

In any session or consultation, we try to keep this distress as low as possible (moderate) while still allowing the Client to process the traumas that disturb them. The Client may be asked to focus on those events, or on current feelings that are distressing, while both eyes are open, and each eye open separately.

Guarantee
It is the Client’s right to refuse any aspect of the Provider’s services and to seek the service of another provider at any time. The Service Provider does not warrant or guarantee any specific level of performance or results.

Examples of results obtained for other clients of Service
Provider may be used as a marketing tool and shown to Client for demonstrative purposes only and should not be construed by Client as indicating any promised results or level of results.

Termination
If Client chooses to terminate an agreement in writing, all monies owed to Service Provider will be due immediately and will be automatically charged to the Client’s payment method on file.

Under no circumstances will the Service Provider give refunds of the amount paid for the Services hereunder.

Limited Liability
The Service Provider liability or otherwise arising through or in connection with consent or through or in connection with the completion of the obligations under this will be limited to the aggregate fees paid by the Client to the Service Provider except in cases of fraud or negligence by either party.

In no event shall the Service Provider be liable to the Client for any indirect, consequential or special damages. Notwithstanding any damages that the Client may incur, the Service Provider’s
entire liability under this Agreement, and the Client’s exclusive remedy, shall be limited to the amount actually paid by the Client to the Service Provider under this Agreement for all services rendered through and including the termination date.

Entire Agreement
This Agreement is the final, complete and exclusive Agreement of the Parties. No modification of or amendment to this Agreement shall be effective unless in writing and signed by each of the Parties.

The Client’s acceptance of this agreement affirms that they willingly consent to the use of these procedures in any consultation, session, call or contact with the Service Provider.
